Elva L. Viehdorfer, 94, of Snow Shoe, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Elva was born in Moshannon on May 24, 1927 the daughter of the late Walter E. and Rose Fye Holt. She was preceded in
death by her husband, Charles Viehdorfer. She is survived by her son, Gary E. Viehdorfer of Snow Shoe and a foster daughter, Kathy Linn of Cleveland. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Roseanne (Dane) Maney; her two great grandchildren, Lindy Meyers, Chase Meyers and her nieces and nephews, Dana Tumbleson, Fred Tumbleson, Sharon Hall, Eddie Skripek, Millie Stasko, Violet Blair, Dottie Chambers and Barb Lucas. Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Orvis Holt, Ivy Skripek, Marion Tumbleson and Mary Collar.
Elva was the oldest member of the Moshannon United Methodist Church. She enjoyed collecting owls, crocheting and quilts. She also love to walk for miles. Elva was a seamstress for Hall’s Hosiery Mill in Snow Shoe. Before her retirement she was the Post Master at the Moshannon Post Office.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 1 PM at the Askey Cemetery, Snow Shoe Twp., Centre Co. with Pastor Catherine Dittman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the
