Sandra L. “Sandy” Watson, 65, of rural Julian, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Sandy was born on September 9, 1955 in Lock Haven the daughter of the late Mahlon and Ida Anabel Lucas Watson. Sandy is survived by her 3 sons, Jeffrey C. (Angela) Jodon, Jr. of rural Julian, Eric S. Jodon of rural Julian, and Kerry M. (Jena) Jodon of Bellefonte; her 6 grandchildren, Roni Sue Leigey, Kalin Leigey, Ayden Jodon, Kieran Jodon, Paige Jodon, and Parker Jodon. Also surviving are her siblings, Janet Baney of Elmira, NY, Larry (Judith) Watson of Breinigsville, PA and Terry (Judy) Watson of rural Julian. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Dorothy Watson of Milesburg and Mary Watson of Snow Shoe.
Sandy was a member of Survivors Outreach Service Support with Gold Star families who have lost a loved one in the line of duty. Before her retirement, Sandy was employed at Penn State University in Budget Administration Department. She was a member of Martha United Methodist Church. She enjoyed baking, gardening, especially spending time with her grandchildren, attending sporting events of her children when they were growing up and her grandchildren’s sporting events.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Andrew R. Jodon and her brothers, Gary Watson, Jay Watson and her brother in law, Lewis Baney.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 6 PM. - 8 PM at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc. 201 Spring St., Milesburg, Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Martha United Methodist Church, 194 Ardery Hollow Road, Port Matilda with Pastor Donna Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Advent Cemetery, Boggs Twp., Centre Co. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Survivors Outreach Services Support (Gold Star Families), 554 Airport Road, Johnstown, PA 15904.
