Charles J. Wolfe, Sr., 83, of rural Bellefonte passed away at Embassy of Hearthside, State College on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. Charles was born in Lock Haven on January 3, 1938, the son of the late James and Edith Fiedler Wolfe. He married Rose Emel (Wolfe) who survives at home. Along with his wife he is survived by his daughters, Melaine (Doug) Shearer of Spruce Creek, Cassie (Tony) Christensen of Tyrone; his sons, William (Gail) Wolfe of Grassflats, David (Brandi) Loesch of Woodland; his sister, Janice Connely of Lock Haven; his brothers Donald (Bev) Wolmedorf of Jersey Shore and Lenny (Janice) Wolfe of Flemington. Charles is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Along with his parents he
was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlene Wolfe; his sons, Melvin Loesch and Charles (Kelly) Wolfe, Jr. and his brothers Ken Wolmedorf and Raymond Wolfe.
Charles worked at Corning Asahi before his retirement. He was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed painting cars, he was a tinkerer and back yard mechanic. He was a wonderful grandfather to his grandchildren and to all of the children in the neighborhood.
Family and friends will be received at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 201 Spring St., Milesburg on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 5 PM to 7 PM. A funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Pastor Eric Gerber officiating. We will be following CDC recommendations, facial coverings will be required and social distancing is encouraged. Burial will be in Trcziyulny Cemetery, Boggs Twp., Centre Co.
