Charles W. Brewer, 93, of State College, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Juniper Village at Brookline. Charles was born on October 7, 1927 in Mt. Holly Springs, a son of the late Charles C. and Jennie R. Gearhart Brewer. On August 18, 1946, he married the former Lois Seth who preceded him in death. Charles is survived by his son, C. Ronald Brewer of State College. Charles is a graduate of State College High School. After graduation he had may different jobs, one was stocking shelves for Nabisco. He then became an Insurance Agent for Nationwide Insurance in State College until his retirement. After his retirement he continued helping Michael Karstetter at his place of business. He became friends with Bernice Rimmey, who recently passed away, maybe they will meet again in heaven! Charlie loved to travel through out the United States with his good friend, Virginia McClure. They had traveled to Oberammergau, Germany in 2010 to see the Passion Play and to see the country. The last trip was to Kentucky to see Noah’s Ark, a Cathedral and the Christian Museum. Charlie was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Huntingdon, Tall Cedars of Lebanon and the Jaffa Shrine in Altoona. He was a member of Mount Nittany United Methodist Church in Lemont.
