David D. Young, 62, of Bellefonte, passed away at his residence, on Monday, December 28, 2020. David was born in Bellefonte, on April 20, 1958, a son of the late David B. and Betty Ripka Young. On May 12, 1984 he married the former Kimberly S. (Ertley) Young, who preceded him in death on December 10, 2020. David is survived by his son Cody Young of Howard; a grandson Wyatt Young, his sisters Michele Torsell of Bellefonte, Robin Marshall of Bellefonte and his sister-in-law Beth Ertley also of Bellefonte. Along with his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Thompson.
David was of the Methodist faith. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1976 – 1978. Dave was a CAD operator for Chem-Cut. He was a member of the Bellefonte Loyal Order of Moose
#206, NRA, and he enjoyed hunting, and anything outdoors.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 1 PM at the Jacksonville Cemetery, Marion Twp., Centre Co., PA with Pastor Cindy Killinger officiating. Military honors will be accorded. Burial will be in Jacksonville cemetery.

Sorry to hear of David's passing. We knew David for 30 years. Had a lot of good times at the Moose. Loved watching Cody grow up. David and Kim are together again. Prayers for the family. Rest in peace David. Jerry Stover and JoEllen Thompson

Dave we met you at the Moose in Bellefonte and we shared good times together on the weekends of Penn State football games over many years. Remember Cody as a young boy. Dave was so proud of his son. Attended a high school baseball game when Cody played for Bellefonte High School. Dave you were taken from the world at too young of an age. May you rest in peace Dave.

I as so sorry to hear about the passing of Dave. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I will cherish the memories that I have with Dave at the Moose talking about wrestling and the good times that we had there. RIP Dave, you do not have to suffer anymore.
