Obituary

Marian Laura Miller Lockhart, 83 of Bellefonte, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Centre Crest. Marian was born on February 17, 1935, in Milesburg, a daughter of the late John and Isabel( Horner) Miller. On February 21, 1954, she married Charles B. Lockhart who preceded her in death February 1988.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Vicky (Shane) McKean of Snow Shoe.
Marian is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew (Kerri) McKean, Matthew (Erin) McKean both of Bellefonte, and Brandon ( Angela Moyer) McKean of Snow Shoe; and her great-grandchildren, Colin, Bailey, Mac, Finn and Bridget all of Bellefonte. She is also survived by her brother, Leroy (Cindy) Wagner of Pleasant Gap.
Marian was a graduate of Bellefonte High School class of 1953. She retired from The Penn State University poultry research department.
Marian was of the Protestant Faith. She loved cooking, baking, sewing, doing embroidery, crocheting and knitting.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sisters, Florence (Miller) Poorman, and Shirley (Wagner) Hearn and her brother, Myrle Wagner.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 11AM- 12 noon at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc. 201 Spring St., Milesburg. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon with Pastor Ronald E. Baker officiating.
Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery, Jacksonville Road, Bellefonte.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 201 Spring St., Milesburg, PA

Vicky, Shane and family, Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Vicky, take solace in the fact you were a loving, supportive daughter and did so much for your mom; she knows that too. It is a comfort to know that we will all be reunited again! Go's peace and comfort to you all.

Vicky, Shane and Family, I am so sorry for your lost of your mom. Vicky - you are the best daughter in the world. You have such a good heart and kind soul and GREAT humor too. I have enjoyed working with you at Geisinger in the past years and greatly treasure our friendship neverending. You have been so supportive of your mom no matter what.
