Mack B. Mahan, 68, of Bellefonte, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA. Mack was born on July 24, 1949, in Knoxville, TN., a son of the late John N. and Sara Burns Mahan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Mahan. Mack is survived by his wife, the former Martha J. "Martie" Beightol. In addition to his wife, he is survived by her daughters, Carolyn (Stephen) Fisher of Columbia, MD and Katherine " Katie" (Shawn) House of Indianapolis, IN, grandchildren, Elizabeth " Ellie" Fisher and Micah Fisher and his mother-in-law, Velma Beightol of Bellefonte.
Mack was a 1972 graduate of VA Tech receiving a Bachelor in Architecture 5 year program.
Mack was a member of Dulin United Methodist Church in Falls Church, VA and locally attended Shiloh Lutheran Church.
Mack was a member of the Roland Curtin Foundation, the Historic Architectural Review Board, Bellefonte Historic and Cultural Association (BHCA), Historic Preservation Committee of BHCA.. Mack was the consulting architect for the restoration of the AME Church in Bellefonte and was the architect and Project Manager for The Richard Knupp History and Heritage Center, Historic Bellefonte, Inc. Destination Bellefonte project.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Shiloh Lutheran Church, Dale Summit, from 10 AM - 11:00 AM. for a Celebration of Life, with services to begin at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Steve Koths, officiating.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Memory of Mack B. Mahan to The American Liver Foundation, 1528 Walnut St., Philadelphia, PA 19102 or to The Hershey Medical Center Surgical ICU Unit, 500 University Drive, Hershey, PA 17033, in Memory of Mack B. Mahan.
