Obituary for Jacques ""Jack"" LaRoche

Jacques R LaRoche (Jack) lost his courageous 7-year battle with cancer July 7, 2018 at home. By his side, until the end, was the love of his life, his "honey love" Diana Lohr LaRoche. Jack was a dedicated father and is survived by his daughter, Josie Firster (Bruce), former wife Barbara Bellehumeur, his step children, Sherry London (Mark), Rachel Breon (Joe), and John Stem III (Shawna). Also surviving are his siblings -sisters, Claudette Gagnon, Nicole Bergeron, France Diamond, and Carole Houle; brothers, Jean Claude, Richard, and Neil, preceded in death by brother Guy, mother Corinne and father Leopold. As a Pappy Jack, he enjoyed showering his grandchildren: Amber Catral (Josh), Teeona Breon, Grace, Cadence, Izabel and Daenerys Stem with love, attention and affection. Another joy was his great-granddaughter Sofia Catral. Jack was born in Coaticook, Quebec on August 2, 1948. He served in the Canadian Army. He was of the Methodist faith. He earned a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Brownell University. His fondness and talent for construction could be observed in the Construction Companies that he owned and operated throughout his life.

Jack enjoyed the finer things, like golfing, scuba diving, and numerous hunting trips including out West and to Alaska. His home was filled with his trophies. His other interests included vacationing and cruising with Diana, riding his Harley, and spending time with family. Each weekend you could find him washing his cars until they sparkled. He was the perfect host and his friends always enjoyed their visits to his home.
