Obituary for Dennis Peters

Dennis F. Peters , 75, of Milesburg passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Denny was born in Bellefonte, on April 19, 1943, a son of the late William Peters. On July 17, 1987 he married the former Brenda Young who survives at home. Denny is also survived by his daughter, April Peters and his grandson, Hunter Tipton of Warriors Mark, and 2 daughters to a previous wife, Wendy Peters and Jennifer Peters and their children; his sister, Gloria (Bill) Briggs of Centre Hall, and his brother, Richard (Mary Jane) Peters of Karthaus.
Denny was of the Protestant Faith. He was a 1961 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He was a veteran having served in the US Navy. He was a heavy equipment operator for numerous companies. Denny was past Commander for the Milesburg American Legion Post 893, a life member of Snow Shoe VFW, and was a member of the Clarence Moose. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg, with the funeral services to follow at 7:00 P.M with Pastor Douglas W. Mellott officiating. Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring Street, Milesburg, Pa.
