Obituary for Louis Kresovich

Louis R. Kresovich December 10, 1924 June 1, 2018 Louis R. Kresovich, 93 of Bellefonte, formerly of Miles-burg, went to be with his Lord on the morning of June 1, 2018. Lou was born in Coleville, on December 10, 1924, a son of the late Martin and Mary Ludick Kresovich from Racice, Slovenia. On July 1, 1950, he married the former Mary Josephine Bathurst who preceded him in death on September 13, 2005. Lou is survived by his five children, Colleen Simmons (Arthur) of rural Howard, Susan Dubbs (Charles) of Milesburg, David Kresovich (Wanda) of Marsh Creek, Mark Kresovich (Kathy) of rural Julian, and Michael Kresovich of Bellefonte, also surviving are his 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Lou attended Bellefonte High School prior to serving in the US Army during World War II. Lou was a part of the 7th Armored Infantry Division, acting as a Mortar Gunner. Lou fought in multiple imperative battles from his time of services during the years of 1943-1946. Including the D-day landings in Normandy, Hurtgen Forest Battle, Seige of Bastogne, and the Hedgerows of France. His courageous acts across the world as earned him a total of five Battle Stars and four Bronze Stars. Lou attended classes at Old Dominion University after serving his country. During his fruitful life, he contributed to the betterment of his community in many different ways. He was a Car Salesman for Barnett Motors, a Police Patrolman for the town of Bellefonte, an insurance agent for Nationwide and Baltimore Life, and a worker for the PA Fish Commission. As for his hobbies, Lou appreciated, fishing, hunting, gardening and walking his dog, Shelby. Lou was a member of Saint John The Evangelist Catholic Church, where he was an Honorary Member of the Knights of Columbus and was a 4th Degree Knight, and Bellefonte VFW Post 1600. In addition to his parents, and his beloved wife, he was preceded in death by his four siblings, Louise Burkert, Christine O'Dell, Joseph Kresovich and Ralph (Rudy) Kresovich. Family and friends will be received at The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St. Milesburg, on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with a Vigil for the Deceased at 5:45 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 134 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Father George Jakopac, officiating. Committal Services will be in Saint John's Catholic Cemetery, Bellefonte. Where Military Honors will be accorded. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of The Dean K.
