Our Lord called his Angel home, who was our Angel on earth, Violet M. Lannen, 97, of rural Julian, on Monday, March 12, 2018, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Violet was born on November 7, 1920, in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Aaron G. and Louise S. Daughenbaugh Donley. On November 14, 1941, she married Daniel Lannen, who preceded her in death on February 26, 2002. Violet is survived by her daughters, Shirley L. Hardy (Jesse), of Julian, Carol E. Alexander (Terry), of Julian, Janet M. Carroll (Charles), of Julian, Donna J. Ammerman (Scott), of Virginia Beach, Va., Nancy J. Lannen, of Nescopeck, and Kathy B. Stanton (Ken), of State College; also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. Violet attended school in Centre County. Violet was a homemaker. She was of the Methodist Faith. She was a member of Julian-Unionville Senior Citizens, she served 30 plus years on the Huston Township Board of Elections. Violet enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, baking, making fudge, crocheting, and traveling. In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Pearl Donley and Velda Donley and her brother, Earl W. Donley. Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 16, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home with Horst vonDorpowski and Pastor Jay Saldana officiating.
