Obituary for Margaret ""Margie"" Grove (Rogus)

Margaret ""Margie"" Grove (Rogus)
Margaret (Margie) Ann Grove, 76, of Bellefonte, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones, on Monday, October 30, 2017.
Margie was born in Clarence on February 9, 1941, and was the daughter of the late Anna (Jozefick) and Frank Rogus.
Margie was a 1959 graduate of Bald Eagle High School. She stayed at home for several years caring for and raising her three children. When her children were grown, she went to work at Sears, Omega Financial, Centre County Government - where she retired from in 2005, and Stauffer Transportation. Following her retirement, Margie lived a rewarding life doing what she wanted while cherishing her time spent with family and friends.
Margie was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her thoughtful and caring demeanor will be missed by so many. More than anything she loved socializing with her family and friends and just getting out and enjoying life. Margie truly loved taking care of others and would show up without delay whenever she was needed or called upon. Margie took pleasure in tending to her flower beds, bowling in her weekly league, playing the Pennsylvania Lottery, and hitting the slot machines when the opportunity arose. She also enjoyed watching baseball and softball, especially when her daughter, grandchildren, and the Spikes or Pirates were playing.
Margie is survived by her companion Robert Keeler; son Randy Grove and companion, Karen Stauffer, of Bellefonte; daughter Kim Chambers and husband, Scott McKee, of Bellefonte; daughter Bobbi Jo Chambers and husband, Roy, of Snow Shoe; sister Mildred Holler and brother Francis Rogus, both of Snow Shoe; and five grandchildren - Anna Grove, Kelly and Carly Chambers, Cameron Mckee and Nate Chambers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Mara Lee Grove.
The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to the angels at Centre HomeCare and all those who have sent prayers, loving words, and support. At Margies’s request there will be no viewing or services. Memorial contributions may be made to either: Centre HomeCare, Suite 6, 2437 Commercial Blvd, State College, PA 16801 or, The Cancer Care Partnership, 1800 E. Park Ave., State College, PA 16803.
