Darren Allen Spotts, 39, of Julian, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at the Geisinger Medical Center. He was born on December 2, 1977, in College Township, Centre County, the son of Gregory C. and Gail E. Grieb Spotts, who survive in rural Julian. On August 27, 2005 he married Autumn Kathryn Grove (Spotts), who survives at home along with their daughters, Adra Kathryn Spotts and Alivia Denise Spotts. Darren is survived by his brother, Chad G. Spotts and his wife, Tracy, and nephews, Collin and Tyler and niece, Emma Spotts, of Minnetrista, Minn. He is also survived by his grandfather, Lloyd Spotts, of Julian. He was preceded in death by his sister, Hope E. Spotts. Darren was a 1996 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School and attended Penn State University. He was a Construction Project Manager, owner of ADS Solutions Inc. and a real estate agent. Darren's love for his community was shown through his role as the president of the Bald Eagle Area Youth Soccer program. He served as a dedicated and caring coach to every child who walked onto the field. He also enjoyed coaching his daughter in the Bald Eagle Area youth basketball program. Darren's love for his two daughters was his greatest gift, he will be missed immensely. Darren attended both Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte and Freedom Life Church in Milesburg. Family and friends will be received at the Faith United Methodist Church, 512 Hughes St., Bellefonte, on Thursday, August 31, 2017, from 4-6 p.m. A memorial service celebrating Darren's life will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Andrew Morgan and Pastor Eric Gerber officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established to support the Spotts family.
