Obituary for Alida ""Rusty"" Martin (Dean)

Alida Jane "Rusty" (Dean) Martin, 82 of Bellefonte went to be with the lord Friday April 7, 2017. Born on March 16, 1935 in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late John Dean, Sr. and Mary (Charles) Dean. She was one of six children. She retired from C-COR in State College. Alida was a beloved mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children Cindy and her husband Al Long of FL, Cathy Martin of CT, Connie Martin of MO, Hassell Martin III of CT and Anna and her husband Mike Baranak of Snow Shoe. Also surviving is her brother, James Dean. She leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and is expecting 2 more great grandchildren later this spring. She was proceeded in death by a son in law, Eugene Simpson and a daughter in law, Tina Martin both of whom she adored and loved as her own. She enjoyed yard sales but more than anything Alida had a love and special talent for Arts and Crafts, which she passed her creativity and passionate talents on to many of her grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held later this month for family and friends. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring Street, Milesburg, Pa.
